Steps

1
Done

DRY RUB

Mix together the spices in a small bowl.
It must be enough for 1-1,5 kg of ribs.
If you don’t have dried onion, garlic, or mustard at hand, use regular mustard, chopped onion, and garlic. It won’t be dry rub though but it will taste great anyway.
Chop the garlic and onion into a paste, add mustard, and add this mixture to the dry spices. Mix well. Use this paste to run the ribs with.
But it’s much more convenient to use dry spices - you can mix them in advance, they distribute more evenly and don’t burn.
So, if you like ribs and you have some free time, I’d recommended get dried onion, garlic, and mustard.

2
Done

Marinate

Rub the spices all over the ribs. Wrap them in plastic wrap and put them in the fridge overnight.

3
Done

Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
Wrap each rib in a few layers of foil and bake at 150 degrees for 1,5 h (same time for indirect grilling technique). The time though depends on the size of ribs, so cook longer, if needed.

4
Done

BBQ sauce

You can use a good store-bought bbq sauce. That’s what I usually do. Just choose a good sauce without harmful ingredients that you’d like.
Or you can make the sauce yourself using ketchup.
Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, and then simmer for about 5 min until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5
Done

When the ribs are tender, take them out. Increase the heat to 230 degrees.
Remove the foil, coat the rib in the sauce, transfer them to a rack, and bake (or grill) for another 10 min until brown.
Take them out, loosely cover with foil and let stand for 10 min.
Serve.
Enjoy!
