If you have vegetarians or vegans at the festive table, or it’s you, then here’s a super hot option, a cauliflower steak! I recommend taking note of it regardless of the food style and festive season of the year because this is a wonderful dish, healthy, tasty and light.  It can be either hot or a side dish, as you wish!

Preheat the oven to 235 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with foil.

Wash a head of cauliflower, cut off the leaves and the edge of the stem. Cut it in half and from each side of the center cut a steak about 2 cm thick.
The remaining pieces can be used in other recipes.

Finely chop the capers, add the rest of the marinade ingredients and mix them.

Spread half of the marinade on both sides of the steaks, put them on a baking tray, bake in the oven for about 12 minutes.
Then take them out, turn the steaks, spread the rest of the marinade on top and bake for about another 8 to10 minutes. Check readiness with a fork, the steak should already be soft, but with a tight center. On the surface, the cooked steak is well toasted.
Take it out of the oven and serve immediately.
This steak is good served with pesto or tahini.
