4 chicken legs

1 chili pepper, optionally

125 ml dry white wine

70 g tomato paste (mixed with 3 tbsp warm water)

150-200 g cherry tomatoes

3 tbsp olive oil

Directions
Pollo alla cacciatora – is a popular Italian dish. It’s so easy and super tasty!!! Poultry or rabbit (chicken in our case) stewed in tomato sauce with herbs and cherry tomatoes, which add some fresh notes to the dish.
There is a thousand of variations of this recipe. I love the one by Gennaro Contaldo, which I am sharing with you today. If you like stewed chicken you must try out this recipe!

Cut each leg in half. Pat dry with kitchen paper. |

Heat the olive oil in a skillet or a casserole over medium high heat. |

Pan-fry the chicken, browning all over. |

Cut the onion in semi-circles, peel and crush the garlic with a knife. Cut the chili pepper into thin circles. |

Add the onion, chili pepper, garlic and herbs to the chicken. Pan fry for 1-2 min over medium heat. At this stage divine flavors will be released. |

Add the whine and let alcohol evaporate. |

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and add to the skillet. |
