Directions
Apple chestnut muffins are perfect to eat for breakfast or dessert with tea! Made with apples, nuts, chestnut flour, and cinnamon powder – they are a good choice for gluten-free dieters and everyone who loves a good dessert! You can make them less sweet by reducing the amount of sugar in the recipe. You can also experiment and add dark chocolate chips if you like.
The texture of these muffins is pretty dense, more like gingerbread, but they’re very soft and crumbly – you’ll definitely love them!
Enjoy!

Steps
1
Done
|
Blend the nuts into crumbs. Pit the apples and cut them into 5 mm cubes. |
2

|
Stir the chestnut flour into water. Mix well to break up any lumps and let stand for 15 min to thicken into a smooth puree. Or use 200 g of store-bought chestnut puree. |
3
Done
|
Beat the eggs together with the puree, honey, and sugar with a mixer for a few minutes until the mixture is thin and pale. |
4
Done
|

Add the chopped nuts, apples, and raisins. Mix with a spatula. |

Fill the muffin cups full with the mixture - they won’t rise too much. Bake for 35 min at 170 degrees. |
