To be exact, the term “tartare” refers to beef only. According to the classic steak tartare recipe, which you can find here, “steak tartare is a dish made from raw beef. In restaurants though, they also make if from salmon or avocado. Except for presentation, these dishes have nothing to do with the original steak tartare.”

Either way, today’s recipe is shrimp & avocado tartare, the most delicious and healthy dish. Its recipe lies in the combination of colors, textures, and tastes: green avocado, pink shrimp, red pepper, green herbs, and black sesame seeds.

It makes the perfect party appetizer.
