Meatballs in tomato sauce in Italian classic.  However, meatballs with spaghetti are believed to be invented by Italian emigrants in the USA. Either way, meatballs can be found in cuisines of all countries. And their popularity is obvious: it’s the most convenient way to cook meat of all kinds, and a combination of various meats only enhances the taste and texture of meatballs.

Today we are making Italian meatballs. For this, we are going to need classic tomato sauce. It’s better to make it in large batches and keep in a freezer, so every recipe with this sauce will be easy and quick.

In meatballs, we will add parmesan, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. You can also add greens if you like.

Also, we are going to make a gluten-free version by replacing bread or breadcrumbs with ground oats. The taste will be just as good. But you can also make a classic version with bread or breadcrumbs.

Besides, you can cook meatballs on the stove or in the oven, I’ll explain the details. I usually make them in the oven as it seems more convenient to me. Pan-fried meatballs will make the tomato sauce more meaty. Choose what you like better!

Enjoy!
