Orzo is the Italian for barley. And orzo pasta, or risoni, is a form of pasta shaped like a grain of barley or rice.

Orzo with lemon and parmesan is an immediate, flavorful, fresh and incredibly tasty dish! Its secret lies in herb freshness and high-quality parmesan. The tastes of parsley, zest, mint and parmesan create an unimaginable combination that will turn your head!

So, let you again be surprised by how genius and simple Italian cuisine is! You must try it!

If orzo isn’t available, try using other kinds of short-cut pasta. This recipe can make both hot (as a main dish) or cold (as a salad) orzo. In the latter case, butter should be substituted for olive oil.

Bon appetite!

DRESS AND SERVE

When the orzo is done, drain the water. Add the butter and combine.
Add the herbs and lemon zest, sprinkle the parmesan, combine, and serve right away (!). This dish is important to serve immediately, as high temperature make the herbs fade, so they soon will be brown.
