30 ml of Gin
20 ml of Orange liquor Cointreau
10 cm of Rosemary fresh
50 ml of Tonic water
1/2 of Grapefruit
to taste Ice

It’s another classic drink that has become one of my favorites this year. When in Vienna, be sure to go to the Labstelle restaurant in the center (Lugeck 6, 1010 Wien) and try their signature grapefruit gin tonic because it’s magic! Their cuisine is also excellent, it’s modern Viennese.

It’s thanks to them that I especially fell in love with the gin & tonic this year, although I respected it before and developed my favorite formula. It also contains grapefruit juice and rosemary. Try it, it’s delicious!

P.S. My gin tonic requires for full enjoyment a fresh grapefruit, fresh rosemary, Cointreau orange liqueur, lots of ice and a beautiful glass ( more beautiful than in the photo:) )

Cut the grapefruit in half. Then squeeze the juice out of half and strain it through a fine sieve.
Take a sprig of fresh rosemary about 10 cm long, wash and dry with a towel. Then, pour Cointreau orange liqueur into a glass, put a sprig of rosemary and knead it well in the liqueur with a pestle from a mortar or spoon. The sprig should retain its shape but give a distinct flavor to the drink.

Add 2/3 cup of ice, pour gin, grapefruit juice and tonic. Then stir it a little. Place a sprig of rosemary nicely in the glass. Serve.
